5. Conclusion and Recommendations Significant Residual Impact (SRI) assessments were undertaken for conservation significant matters with the potential to occur within the Project area, under the criteria relevant to the matters’ listings. These assessments determined that the Project is unlikely to have an SRI on any matters assessed. 5.1.Summary of Conservation Significant Matters 5.1.1. Matters of National Environmental Significance MNES identified during the desktop assessment were ground-truthed and/or confirmed as follows: • No Listed Threatened Ecological Communities observed • 1 flora species listed as EVNT under the EPBC Act were observed ( Cycas megacarpa ) • No fauna species listed as EVNT under the EPBC Act were observed; • 1 fauna species listed as marine under the EPBC Act was observed (Rainbow bee-eater: Merops ornatus) 5.1.2. Matters of State Environmental Significance MSES identified during the desktop assessment were ground-truthed and/or confirmed as follows: • 2 Regulated vegetation areas present; o Category B regulated vegetation present; o Essential habitat present • 2 flora species listed as EVNT under the NC Act: Cycas megacarpa and Grevillea hockingsii • No fauna species listed as EVNT under the NC Act were observed; • One fauna species listed a special least concern under the NC Act, Short-beaked Echidna ( Tachyglossus aceulatus) , was observed within the Project area;
5.2.Other Species Records
• The updated field surveys recorded species present within the Project area: o 1 amphibian; o 34 birds; o 7 mammals; o 3 reptiles. • Four non-native fauna species were encountered within the Project area: o Dingo/Feral Dog ( Canis lupus familiaris );
o Feral Cat ( Felis catus ); o Feral Pig ( Sus scrofa ); o Black Rat ( Rattus rattus ) o Cane Toad ( Rhinella marina )
