2.3.3.3. Bird Surveys Morning and afternoon bird surveys were conducted at the wattle gully dam in accordance with the survey methodology outlined in the Significant impact guidelines for the endangered black-throated finch (southern) (Poephila cincta cincta) (Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage, and the Arts , 2009), which was identified as having the potential to occur during GHD’s desktop and LoO assessment (GHD, 2025). Surveys were conducted on the 29 th of August (morning), 15 th (afternoon), 16 th (afternoon), 17 th (morning) and 18 th (morning) of September totalling 13 hours. 2.3.3.4. Bat detectors Anabat Chorus bat detectors were placed at two sites as shown in Figure 3, for a total of 22 nights across both detectors. 2.3.3.5. Nocturnal Surveys and call playbacks Nocturnal searches were conducted on the 15 th and 16 th of September for 2 hours (from 18:00 to 20:00). Call playbacks were undertaken during this window.
