3.2.3. Matters of State Environmental Significance Matters of state environmental significance (MSES), as referred to in Schedule 2 of the Environmental Offsets Regulation 2014, include the following: • Regulated vegetation; • Designated precinct in a strategic environmental area; • Wetlands and watercourses; • Protected wildlife habitat; • Protected areas; • Protected marine areas and habitat; and • Legally secured offset areas.
3.2.3.1. Regulated Vegetation The majority of the Project area is listed as Category B- remnant vegetation 3.2.3.1.1. Regulated Vegetation – Endangered or Of Concern Regional Ecosystem There is 1 Of Concern RE present mapped within the Project area
3.2.3.1.2. Regulated Vegetation – Wetlands No areas of Category R regulated vegetation were identified within the Project area through desktop assessment.
3.2.3.1.3. Regulated Vegetation – Watercourse No areas of regulated vegetation near a watercourse within the Project area.
3.2.3.1.4. Regulated Vegetation – Essential Habitat 32.33 hectares of the Project area is mapped as essential habitat
3.2.3.2. Designated Precinct in a Strategic Environmental Area There are no designated precincts in strategic environmental areas mapped for the Project area or surrounding areas. 3.2.3.3. Water Course and Wetlands No Ramsar wetlands were identified within 10 km of the Project area through desktop assessment. There are no defined watercourses within the Project area
