regulatory provisions. The existing waste management plan for the Mount Morgan Mine has been
provided in Appendix F.
The primary objective for waste management associated with these amendments will be to ensure that
waste is transported, generated, stored and disposed in a way that protects all environmental values
and complies with relevant regulatory provisions. The discharge of tailings into Upper Mundic Gully TSF
will continue to be undertaken with existing management controls and no additional controls are
required or proposed. Minor quantity of non-regulated waste used during TSF construction may be
generated including liners, concrete and fiberglass that will be disposed of in accordance with the Waste
Hierarchy and the Heritage Minerals Waste Management Procedure. All waste transferred from the site
will be transported by licensed waste transport carriers.
6.11. Greenhouse Gas Assessment
A Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Assessment has been prepared to provide supporting information to the
Project EA Amendment Application under Section 226 of the Environmental Protection Act 1994 (EP
Act). A copy of the full assessment is provided in Appendix L. The assessment has been conducted in
accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Guidelines (DETSI, 2025) which outlines the
requirements of a GHG assessment for an EA Amendment. These requirements and the respective
sections where they have been addressed in this report (Appendix L) are shown in Table 53 .

Include an emissions inventory identifying the GHG to be emitted and the stage of the
project at which the emissions will occur. Include a breakdown of GHG emissions by
source that:

Determine if the application meets the medium to high GHG emission category:
• applications with expected GHG emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) 25,000
tonnes CO2-e or more per year (at any time during the life of the project) are

considered medium to high emitters ; and
• applications with expected GHG emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) of less
than 25,000 tonnes CO2-e per year are considered low emitters.
