Field observed fauna species One MNES threatened species was Confirmed present within the project area. A northern quoll scat (Plate 4-4) was observed at a potential latrine site adjacent to Upper Mundic Gully waterbody and has been confirmed by an independent subject matter expert. This scat was observed around Upper Mundic Gully waterbody, 50 m northeast of the tunnel entrance.

One MSES threatened species was Confirmed present within the project area (Plate 4-5) during field surveys (as captured on remote cameras): – Short-beaked echidna ( Tachyglossus aculeatus ) – special least concern (NC Act).
