Special conditions apply to Category A areas. Before clearing, contact the Department of Resources to confirm any requirements in a Category A area. Exempt clearing work, or notification and compliance with accepted development vegetation clearing codes, area management plans or development approval. Exempt clearing work, or notification and compliance with managing Category C regrowth vegetation accepted development vegetation clearing code. Exempt clearing work, or notification and compliance with managing Category R regrowth accepted development vegetation clearing code or area management plans. No permit or notification required on freehold land, indigenous land and leasehold land for agriculture and grazing. A development approval may be required for some State land tenures.
