near Biggenden with an isolated record from the Warwick district (DETSI, 2025). The species has been recorded growing on rocky hillsides in eucalypt forest or woodland, Acacia woodland or shrubland and open heathland or vine thicket communities. Soils are recorded mostly as skeletal to shallow sandy, sandy clay or clay loams overlaying rhyolite, trachyte or sandstone substrates (DETSI, 2025). Cadellia pentastylis has a restricted distribution from near Duaringa west (QLD) to the Queensland/NSW border (DEWHA, 2008a). This species grows on moderately fertile soils and often occurs on the edges of sandstone and basalt escarpments. C. pentastylis associates with a range of vegetation types including: semi-evergreen vine thicket, brigalow-belah, poplar box and bendee communities (DEWHA, 2008a) Cossinia australiana is known from fragmented relict patches of Araucarian vine forests or vine thickets on fertile soils in central and southern Queensland. The species’ distribution is from Rockhampton to Kingaroy, east of the Great Dividing Range (DCCEEW, 2025).
Eucalypt forests and/or woodlands on steep, rocky hillsides with skeletal to shallow sandy soils.
not identified during field surveys, the project area is within the species known distribution and recent historical records are located in the surrounding landscape.
Highly unlikely to occur The project area is located in the distribution where the species or its habitat may occur. However, no historical records persist within the surrounding landscape, and neither the species or its suitable habitat were confirmed during field surveys. Unlikely to occur The project area is located in the distribution where the species or its habitat is likely to occur and on historical record was identified within the desktop assessment. However, given that no recent historical records were confirmed within the desktop search extent and neither the species or its suitable habitat were confirmed during field surveys, the species is considered unlikely to occur. Cupaniopsis shirleyana is distributed from Mt Larcom (QLD) in the north to Brisbane in the south (DCCEEW, 2025). C. shirleyana occurs in a variety of dry rainforest vegetation types, including vine thicket communities on hillsides, stream beds and along riverbanks at altitudes up to 550 m above sea level. This species is also likely to occur on the margins of native vegetation in scrubby
