There are no additional financial implications relating to this proposed amendment. If this amendment is approved, a new ERC application will be submitted.

It is in the public interest that this amendment be approved so project stakeholders, including the ITE, can be assured that the tailings/water management strategy is appropriate and robust to accommodate climatic extremes. The Upper Mundic Gully TSF is fundamental to the tailings/water management strategy and the overall project objective of tailings reprocessing which, when completed by Heritage Minerals, will lead to better environmental outcomes for the public by removing some contaminant sources at one of Queensland’s most significant environmental legacies
