4.3. Proposed TSF
The Upper Mundic Gully TSF has been designed by a Register Professional Engineer Queensland
(RPEQ) from WSP. The Upper Mundic Gully TSF is proposed to be constructed in two stages as
referenced below:
• Stage 1 – Reshape of existing mine spoil dump and construct starter embankment to RL 360m;
and
• Stage 2 – Raise embankment across top of spoil dump to top of gully ridgeline to RL 390m.
The staged approach to construction provides benefits in terms of reducing initial borrowing of material
to construct the embankment and construct a TSF that can accommodate potential water balance
sensitivities acknowledging climate uncertainties.
The concept design drawings for the TSF are presented in this report as follows (higher resolution
images are included in Appendix C):
