Rainfall statistics for Rockhampton Aerodrome (BOM station #039083, 1939 - current) are displayed in Figure 11. On average, 879 mm of rainfall occurs annually. Rainfall is generally highest from December to March. Potential evaporation for the region is some 1,822 mm on average. The highest evaporation occurs from October to March. Evaporation is significantly reduced during the dry season, with the lowest evaporation occurring in June. The rainfall statistics have been incorporated into the determination of the PMP for the design of the Upper Mundic Gully TSF.
