Pipeline corridor
Remove all pipes and support infrastructure
Land management monitoring and maintenance of rehabilitated areas
The pipeline corridor will be an above ground feature that will not disturb ground. The proposed rehabilitation method is consistent with the existing methodology proposed for the “pipe corridor” feature which is the conduit between the process plant and the Sandstone Gully TSF. The haul road will be handed over to the landholder at the cessation of Heritage Mineral’s mining activities which is approved by a signed landholder agreement. The laydown yard occurs in a portion of the site that has been disturbed through previous mining activity. At the cessation of laydown land use, the area will be reshaped so as not to store water. The underlying soil condition, although not investigated to date, is expected to be contaminated associated with the historical mining activities. The land suitability objective is Class 4 which precludes the achievement of a sustainable use of land. The onsite nursery is a temporary mine feature that is only required to support species translocation. The nursery location is on the western dump that is not a mine feature authorised for disturbance in the EA. The only impact the nursey will have on the western dump is the establishment of footings to support some temporary nursery infrastructure. The underlying feature is the western dump which is not an area authorised for disturbance in the EA and therefore no rehabilitation obligations exist. The topsoil stockpile is a temporary mine feature whereby the material will be ultimately used to support achieving a PMLU for UMG TSF. The underlying feature is the western dump which is not an area authorised for disturbance in the EA and therefore no rehabilitation obligations exist. The adjoining haul road will be handed over to the landholder at the cessation of Heritage Mineral’s mining activities which is approved by a signed landholder agreement. It is intended that this haul road extension will be included in the landholder updated agreement, however in the absence of the agreement being modified prior to this amendment application, that haul road extension will be reshaped and rehabilitated to achieve the Land management monitoring and maintenance of rehabilitated areas outcome.
