Upper Mundic Gully, one at water level and another above the cave top to confirm presence of microbat roosting. This equipment was deployed for 16 days. The Anabat analysis is still pending, so presence of bat species is yet to be confirmed; however, this report will be amended following these results.
Six terrestrial fauna habitat types were observed across the project area, comprising:
– Open forest in sheltered gorges on coarse-grained sedimentary rocks with rocky outcrops (land zone 10) – Eucalyptus woodland on coarse-grained sedimentary rocks with rocky outcrops (land zone 10) – Blakella citriodora open forest on igneous rocks (granite) with rocky outcrops (land zone 12) – Cleared land with recruitment – Upper Mundic Gully ephemeral dam (currently full) – Upper Mundic Gully tunnel Terrestrial habitats are shown on Figure 3-5, and described in Table 3-11. No essential habitat for conservation significant fauna species was identified within or adjacent to the project area or survey area.
