• Recommending corrective actions as required to achieve the translocation objectives • Maintaining translocation database. • Supervising the removal of the C. megacarpa plants from their in-situ location and planting at recipient site, as outlined in Section 5.4 Translocation Methodology of this report. 5.2.3 Translocation contractor A contractor experienced with translocation of native plants (preferably from the order Cycadales) shall be engaged by the proponent and will be responsible for: • The removal of the C. megacarpa plants from their in-situ location and planting at recipient site, as outlined in Section 5.4 of this report. • Collection of material for propagation. • Planting of propagated C. megacarpa plants. • Compliance with any regulatory approval conditions relevant to the translocation plan. • Maintaining biosecurity hygiene practices (Section 5.9 Hygiene).
5.2.4 Maintenance Contractor A contractor experienced in horticulture and native restoration projects shall be engaged by the proponent and will be responsible for:
• Undertaking site preparation activities, including weeding and establishment of recipient site exclusion fencing and signage (where applicable).
• Watering of translocated C. megacarpa individuals. • Watering of translocated C. megacarpa seedlings. • Weeding activities during the 2 year maintenance period. • Horticultural treatments.
5.2.5 Nursery Contractor A nursey with experience in native plants (preferably from the order Cycadales) shall be engaged by the proponent and will be responsible for: • Storing C. megacarpa seed. • Propagating tubestock required within scheduled timeframes to a suitable standard (healthy and free of pathogens, pests and weeds).
