(Halford 1995; DEWHA 2008). Cycas megacarpa is found between Rockhampton and Gympie, in eastern Queensland. It occurs in very small numbers at most sites within its restricted range. (Herbrecs 2008) Cycas ophiolitica is a small to medium sized cycad, with an erect trunk and a spreading to rounded crown. The trunk is 14-20cm in diameter and grows up to 2m tall, rarely to 4m. (Halford 1995; Hill 1998; Forster 2001; DEWHA 2008). Cycas ophiolitica inhabits eucalypt open forest and woodland communities with a grassy understorey. They occur on hill tops or steep slopes, at altitudes of 80-620m above sea level. It grows on shallow, stony, red clay loams or sandy soils. (Halford 1995). Cycas ophiolitica occurs from Marlborough to Rockhampton in central-eastern Queensland. (Hill 1998; Herbrecs 2008) Decaspermum struckoilicum is an erect multi-stemmed shrub or small tree growing up to 5 m tall. The bark is smooth to somewhat flaky, grey or brown. Decaspermum struckoilicum occurs in semi-evergreen vine thickets on reddish or chocolate soils, often in disturbed areas and at elevations up to 300 m (Snow and Guymer, 2001; Queensland Herbarium, 2012). Decaspermum struckoilicum is known from five localities, about 8 km east of Mount Morgan, Queensland, in the area known as Struck Oil (Queensland Herbarium, 2012). It occurs in Bouldercombe Gorge Nature Reserve. Dichanthium setosum (bluegrass) is an erect perennial grass to about 70 cm tall with the culms unbranched (Stanley and Ross, 1989). Dichanthium setosum occurs in heavy soils (predominantly cracking clays or alluvium, often in gilgai) in woodland or open woodland usually dominated by Acacia (brigalow) and/or Eucalyptus species. The climate is tropical to subtropical and markedly seasonal with the habitat drying out for part of the year (Ayers, 1996; Queensland Herbarium, 2012). Dichanthium setosum occurs from Toowoomba in the south to the Lynd Junction in the north, with isolated collections from the Palmer River on the Cape and Lawn Hill NP near the Northern Territory border. Queensland localities are in the Brigalow Belt, Cape York Peninsula, Desert Uplands, Einasleigh Uplands, North West Highlands and South East Queensland bioregions (Queensland Herbarium, 2012).
Unlikely : Multiple ALA records with the closest record 29.4 km north of the Project area. No records within 10 km of Project area therefore species is unlikely to be present Unlikely: There is 1 WO record within 10 km of Project area. There are multiple ALA records with the furthest being 11.4 km east of the Project area. The species has one existing isolated population in Struck Oil within Australia and therefore is unlikely to be present within the Project area. Unlikely: No records within 50 km of Project area therefore species is unlikely to be present
