Black Ironbox ( Eucalyptus raveretiana ) is a medium sized tree that grows up to 25m high, with rough, slightly furrowed, dark grey bark on the trunk and largest branches. Most branches are smooth white, grey, or pale blue. The species has a wide distribution in coastal and sub-coastal Queensland. It is known from 23 sites throughout its range, the majority of which are concentrated in two areas, Nebo to Ayr and Aps Creek to Rockhampton. The species usually grows in open woodland along watercourses and sometimes on river flats (Halford, 1997c). Eucalyptus pachycalyx subsp. waajensis is a tree growing up to 10m in height. The trunk and branches are covered in a smooth glossy bark that has a mottled appearance with grey, reddish-grey, or in some seasons, bright orange and yellow patches (Brooker & Kleinig 1994; Halford 1997). Eucalyptus pachycalyx subsp. waajensis grows in woodland communities, on hillsides and ridge tops on shallow, sandy soils derived from sandstone and granite. (Halford 1997). This subspecies is known from three sites between Miles, Taroom, Eidsvold and west of Springsure in Queensland, and also in Grafton, NSW. (Halford 1997; Herbrecs 2008) Grevillea hockingsii is a dense, compact, upright shrub, 1.5 to 2.5 m in height. (Barker, 1996). Grevillea hockingsii is found on slopes in hilly sandstone country on shallow sandy to sandy loam soils which are light brown to red in colour and occasionally stony or gravelly. It grows in woodland or open forest communities mostly dominated by either Eucalyptus decorticans (gum-topped ironbark) and Corymbia citriodora subsp. variegata (spotted gum), Eucalyptus suffulgens or E. acmenoides (white mahogany). Occasionally it is found on the edge of soaks containing species of Melaleuca (Barker, 1996). Grevillea hockingsii only occurs in Queensland, where it is known from three disjunct areas: Coominglah State Forest west of Monto, Callide Ra. east of Biloela, and Razor Back Ra. Near Mt Morgan. (Queensland Herbarium 2012). Grevillea venusta is an erect shrub growing 2 to 5 m tall (Makinson, 2000). Grevillea venusta has been collected in rocky areas at the base of mountains, often along creeks in sandy soil, and on granite in sclerophyll forest and woodland (Queensland Herbarium, 2012). This species occurs within the Fitzroy (Queensland) Natural Resource Management Region. Grevillea venusta is known from central eastern Queensland, where it
