Delma occurs within the South East Queensland, Condamine, Burnett Mary and Fitzroy (Queensland) Natural Resource Management regions. The Collared Delma normally inhabits eucalypt dominated woodland and open forest where it is associated with suitable micro-habitats (exposed rocky outcrops). The ground cover is predominantly native grasses, such as Kangaroo Grass ( Themeda triandra ), Barbed-wire Grass ( Cymbopogon refractus ), Wiregrass ( Aristida sp.) and Lomandra (Department of the Environment, 2008) The Ornamental Snake occurs within woodlands and open forests associated with moist areas, particularly gilgai (melon-hole) mounds and depressions in Queensland Regional Ecosystem Land Zone 4 and also lake margins and wetlands (DAWE 2021a). These habitats are favoured by frogs (the Ornamental Snake’s prey) and provide suitable microhabitat features for the species, such as deep cracking clay soils, logs and vegetation debris/litter, in which the species shelters. The white-throated snapping turtle is endemic to the Fitzroy, Mary and Burnett Rivers, and associated smaller drainages, in south-eastern Queensland. It occurs across approximately 3300 km of riverine habitat: Fitzroy Catchment (~2,150 km), Burnett Catchment (~700 km) and Mary Catchment (<500 km). Its area of occupancy is estimated to be less than 500 km 2 . Adults are widespread and abundant within all three of these catchments, but immature turtles are poorly represented within populations (DAWE, The National Recovery Plan for the White-throated Snapping Turtle (Elseya albagula),, 2020) Dunmall’s snake occurs in south-east interior of Queensland, including the Darling Downs, and is thought to potentially extend into inland north- eastern NSW. Most locality records are between 200 and 500 m elevation. It favours habitats with fallen trees, ground litter and especially cracked clayey or loamy soils
therefore species is unlikely to be present
Unlikely: Multiple ALA records with the closest record 20.6 km from the Project area. There are no records within 10 km of the Project area and therefore species is unlikely to be present Unlikely: Multiple ALA records with the closest record 29.7 km from the Project area. There are no records within 10 km of the Project area and therefore species is unlikely to be present. Triggered by proximity to Fitzroy River however habitat in Project area is unsuitable for species. Unlikely : 3 ALA records with the closest record 11 km from Project area. Habitat within Project area which includes mainly rock and red soil is not suitable habitat for this species. There are no records within 10 km of the Project
