EA Condition

Action Program

(b) on 1 st November each year; (c) after any storm that results in runoff in the mandatory reporting level of any storages on-site being breached; and (d) prior to the implementation of any changes in processes or procedures on site, or circumstances in the operational areas defined in Table F1 – Summary of operational activities on land . W4 Each assessment of the risk of discharge from the site or the operational areas defined in Table F1 – Summary of operational activities on land must include the following scenarios: (a) a simulation of the site performance under the historical rainfall data set for the Mount Morgan mine site using current operational procedures on the site; (b) a simulation of the site performance for the period of the current mine operation plan or over the next twelve months, whichever is the longer, using expected process inputs and climatic data; and (c) a simulation of the site performance for the period to the end of mining using expected mining operations, process inputs and climatic data. The assessed risk of discharge from any dam, void or pond shall not be greater than that required for the available storage as defined in Table H3 – Hydraulic performance of regulated dams . W5 The available storage on 1 November of each year for any voids, dams or ponds containing hazardous waste must comply with Table H3 – Hydraulic performance of regulated dams. The spillway and associated drainage lines for any voids, dams or ponds containing hazardous waste, must be designed and maintained to withstand the peak flow for the spillway critical design storm defined in Table H3 – Hydraulic performance of regulated dams . W7 W8 The holder of the environmental authority must mark the mandatory reporting level defined in Table H3 – Hydraulic performance of regulated dams on the water side of any voids, dams or ponds containing hazardous waste. The holder of the environmental authority must notify the administering authority when the pondage level of any voids, dams or ponds containing hazardous waste, reaches Water storages during the mining phase W6 W9

Active mining is not projected for the current PoO. Upon commencement of mining, the scenarios in condition W4 will be included when assessing the risk of discharge from the site or the operational areas.

Active mining is not projected for the current PoO. Upon commencement of mining, the risk of discharge will not be higher than what is outlined in condition W5. As agreed in EA condition A3, upon commencement of mining, available storage will be managed to meet the criteria in condition W6 by November 1 each year. Active mining is not projected for the current PoO. Active mining is not projected for the current PoO. The spillway and associated drainage lines will be maintained to achieve the criteria in condition W7.

Mandatory reporting levels shall be marked as required.

Upon the commencement of mining, the administering authority will be notified when levels reach the mandatory reporting levels.
