vi) Recipient site management details are provided in the updated Impact Mitigation Management Plan for Grevillea hockingsii. The management strategies include, marking recipient sites, weed control, fencing, signage, security, fire management, establishing irrigation system.

Species assessment A number of flora and fauna species require further assessment to clearly demonstrate a significant residual impact will not take place. This includes: a) Three special least concern cycads are identified on the State held databases, however, have not been detailed or comprehensively assessed. b) Two special least concern Orchids, with the application material suggesting Cymbidium canaliculatum was not searched for. c) Northern Quoll which is an EPBC Act listed species was confirmed as present on the project site, however no management mechanisms for this species is provided. d) Koala is identified in the application material as likely to occur, with advice suggesting the nearest record is over 100 kilometres (km) away incorrect. e) Ghost bats cannot be readily determined using bat detectors, with techniques available in literature using acoustic attractants and camera traps to determine site use by this species already developed. f) The tunnel may be a likely breeding place for Rhinolophus, Miniopterus and Taphozous species as well as the Northern Quoll. The activity levels recorded for Rhinolophus megaphyllus, Miniopterus orianae and Miniopterus australis appear to be indicative of a roost on or near to the proposed facility. A determination if the tunnel is a likely breeding place is required. g) The photographs provided in the application material of quoll habitat appear to display features of Chalinolobus dwyeri roosting sites. Disturbance to this rocky scarp area should be avoided. If avoidance is not possible, this area should be intensively sampled acoustically for the presence of this species. h) There are multiple records of squatter pigeon within 15 km of the proposed facility. i) The collared Delma warrants further investigation / survey as habitat parameters visible in the site photographs

Provide revised application material which addresses the comments in the adjacent column and includes a comprehensive assessment on the below species to demonstrate a significant residual impact will not be triggered. a) Cycads - Xanthorrhoea johnsonii, Macrozamia miquelii and Cycas media. b) Orchids - Cymbidium canaliculatum and Cryptostylis erecta. c) Northern Quoll (Dasyurus hallucatus). d) Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus). e) Ghost bats (Macroderma gigas). Alternative techniques, including inspections for indicators of use, should be utilised to determine the presence of this species. f) A determination supported by field evidence confirming if the tunnel is a breeding place for Rhinolophus megaphyllus, Miniopterus orianae and Miniopterus australis is required. g) Chalinolobus dwyeri and the determination if the proposed facility will impact potential roosting sites. h) Squatter pigeon (southern) Geophaps scripta scripta. i) Collared Delma (Delma torquata).

a) Special Least Concern status relates to the take and use of species and not to clearing, and is therefore not relevant to this project. Xanthorrhoea johnsonii, Macrozamia miquelii are present but not relevant to the assessment. b) Cycas media, Cymbidium canaliculatum and Cryptostylis erecta. were not found in survey ie. not present. c) Northern Quoll was not confirmed present during the field surveys. The GHD report and supporting information request has been updated to state this. This finding is supported by the secondary fauna survey conducted by WTS. d) Corrections have been made to the Koala records in the supporting information report e) A dedicated additional field survey was undertaken in February 2026 to assess presence of ghost bats within the tunnel and the species was not detected. Given the proximity and ecological importance of the Mt Etna maternity colony, it is unlikely that the tunnel within the project area functions as a maternity roost. While ghost bats may use the tunnel sporadically for diurnal roosting outside the breeding season, such use would be occasional and opportunistic. Consequently, the tunnel does not qualify as critical habitat for the species. f) A survey of the tunnel was conducted on the 26 February 2026 in accordance with Section 9.8 of the Terrestrial Vertebrate Fauna Survey Guidelines for Queensland. During the survey, bat species were observed however there was no observation of clusters hanging from the ceiling nor observable guano accumulation or ammonia smell. It is concluded that the tunnel is not acting as a breeding place for these bat species g) The rocky scarp area identified in the photographs is above the full supply level of the TSF, therefore there will be no disturbance to this area. This has been explained in the updated supporting information report h) The application has been updated to clarify that ecological assessments has confirmed that the project area is not suitable habitat for Squatter pigeon due the absence of clean water sources. i) The application has been updated to clarify that ecological assessments confirmed that the project area is not suitable habitat for Collared Delma, as it is. too dry and no sufficient ground cover outside weeds is available for Collared Delma habitat.

a) Not applicable b) Not applicable c) Appendix E d) Section 7.9.1.2 e) Section 7.9.1.3 f) Section 6.7.4.1 g) Section 6.7.4.1 h) Section 6.7.4.1 i) Section 6.7.4.1
