Field Observation
Tecoma stans (yellow bells)
Category 3
No
This species was noted at one location along the southern extent of the project area. The species was observed as a small stand of mature trees. Individuals appeared healthy but did not present with flowers or seed pods.
6.7.4 Likelihood of Occurrence Analysis For each conservation significant species identified in desktop surveys, an assessment of its likelihood of occurrence was undertaken based on the nature and condition of habitats and resources observed during field surveys and information on historical records of the species within the local landscape. Each species was assigned one of four criteria: ‘known’, ‘likely’, ‘possible’ and ‘unlikely’. The results of the likelihood of occurrence assessment are provided in the Fauna Survey Report (Appendix M). Three threatened species were confirmed present within the survey area during field surveys. This includes: ∕ Grevillea hockingsii (NC Act – vulnerable); ∕ Cycas megacarpa (NC Act and EPBC – endangered); and ∕ Short-beaked echidna (Tachyglossus aculeatus) (NC Act - special least concern). The full likelihood of occurrence (LOO) is provided in the Fauna Survey Report (Appendix M). Table 47. Summary of likelihood of occurrence of MSES
