As shown in the cross section presented in Figure 4.2, the tailings beach for Stage 1 is entirely contained behind the mine spoil dump, and a breach through the embankment would only occur from above RL 353.5 m. For this scenario, no failure cone or tailings release is expected, and the outflow would consist solely of stored decant water.
