Proper jointing, pressure testing and inspection to avoid rupture and operational errors that may cause overtopping or piping.

Operation
Instrumentation such as piezometers, inclinometers, and settlement plates will be included at critical locations to monitor the performance of the embankment. Maintain instrumentation on pipelines to detect leakage, over pressurisation, or failure that could discharge onto the embankment. Routine inspections to identify erosion, cracking, seepage, settlement, liner defects, and pipeline leaks. Maintenance and surveillance to be carried out in accordance with the OMS manual and escalation to occur in accordance with the TARP to identify and address potential issues in a timely manner.
