Mount Morgan Mine Upper Mundic Gully TSF EA Amendment

Sampling results indicate that the Dam 8 does not appear to be impacted to the same extent as the ephemeral dam. Acid mine drainage is typically characterised by low pH acidic conditions and high sulfate, however the water quality in Dam 8 indicates moderately alkaline conditions that do not reflect water quality in the ephemeral dam. The water quality in Dam 8 appears suitable for construction purposes use. The limited flow that Dam 8 receives from the impacted ephemeral dam, coupled with the size of the Dam 8 catchment, suggests that flows from the ephemeral dam into Dam 8 are diluted. A search of the publicly available groundwater data indicates the presence of two bores in proximity to Dam 8. Relevant information obtained from these records is summarised in Table 20. Table 20.
