• Undertaking ecological monitoring and reporting • Recommending corrective actions as required to achieve the management plan objectives • Maintaining transplantation monitoring database.
5.2.3 Plant collection contractor A contractor experienced with the collection of native plant seeds and cuttings (preferably from the order Proteales ) shall be engaged by the proponent and will be responsible for: • Collection of seed. • Collection of material for propagation via cuttings and grafting. • Planting of propagated G. hockingsii plants. • Compliance with any regulatory approval conditions relevant to the management plan. • Maintaining biosecurity hygiene practices (Section 5.7 Hygiene). 5.2.4 Maintenance Contractor A contractor experienced in horticulture and native restoration projects shall be engaged by the proponent and will be responsible for: • Undertaking recipient site preparation activities, including weeding and establishment of recipient site exclusion fencing and signage (where applicable). • Watering of the planted G. hockingsii seedlings. • Weeding activities during the 2 year maintenance period. • Horticultural treatments. • Maintaining biosecurity hygiene practices (Section 5.7 Hygiene). 5.2.5 Nursery Contractor A recipient nursey with experience in native plants (preferably from the order Proteales ) shall be engaged by the proponent and will be responsible for: • Storing G. hockingsii seed. • Propagating tubestock required within scheduled timeframes to suitable standard (healthy and free of pathogens, pests and weeds).
