harm resulting from operational impacts on existing site water management systems. The results must be notified within twenty-eight (28) days to the administering authority following completion of the investigation. Suspended sediment contaminant levels W18 The holder of the environmental authority must implement and maintain all reasonable and practicable erosion protection measures and sediment control measures to minimise erosion and the export of sediment from the site. Sewage effluent W19 The holder of the environmental authority must monitor all effluent released from the treatment plant at the frequency and for the parameters specified in Table W2 – Sewage effluent quality limits. W20 Sewage effluent must not exceed sewage effluent release limits defined in Table W2 – Sewage effluent quality limits.
maintains responsibility for site water management during the term of this PoO.
As no mining operations will occur during the term of this PoO, no environmental harm on existing sediment management systems is expected to occur.
Only minor activities will occur on site during the term of this PoO. These will include maintenance and environmental investigations. As such, the EA holder will not operate a sewage treatment plant. Only minor activities will occur on site during the term of this PoO. Upon the commencement of mining activities, groundwater sampling will be conducted in accordance with condition W23.
W21 Sewage effluent used for dust suppression or irrigation must not cause spray drift or over spray to any sensitive or commercial place.
W22 Sewage effluent from sewage treatment facilities must not be directly released from the sewage treatment plant to any waterway or drainage line.
Groundwater W23 Conduct monitoring and keep records of groundwater quality for the bores listed in Table W3 – Groundwater monitoring locations and frequency. All determinations for groundwater quality must be: (a) conducted for the water quality characteristics stated in Table W4 – Groundwater contaminant trigger levels; (b) taken from the sufficient monitoring points and/or wells to obtain representative samples of groundwater both up-gradient and down-gradient of the potential influence; and
