EA Condition
Action Program
F10 Subject to condition F9, the environmental authority holder may leave infrastructure onsite, upon written agreement between the landholder .
No infrastructure will be constructed during the term of this PoO. Upon commencement of mining activities at Mount Morgan, the Acid Mine Drainage Criteria will be adhered to.
Material Reuse F11
The holder of the environmental authority must use and adhere to the Acid Mine Drainage Criteria in Table F4 – Acid mine drainage classification criteria, before the following material uses: (a) construction materials for embankments; (b) re-use of materials for covers and/or drainage diversion structures; and (c) remnant structures not fully removed as part of mining operations.
No relevant waste material will be produced on site during the term of this PoO.
Waste Material F12
The holder of the environmental authority must dispose of all Potentially Acid Forming in Sandstone Gully Tailings Storage Facility. Where practicable any Non Acid Forming material must be stockpiled for later use in rehabilitation.
Only minor activities will occur on site during the term of this PoO. These will include maintenance and environmental investigations. No releases of contaminants to land are anticipated as a result of these activities. All petroleum product storage(s) must be designed, constructed and maintained in accordance with AS 1940 – Storage and Handling of Flammable and Combustible Liquids. No abrasive blasting will be conducted during the term of this PoO. No abrasive blasting will be conducted during the term of this PoO. The Code of Environmental Compliance for Certain Aspects of Mobile and Temporary Abrasive Blasting (ERA 17) will be adhered to if abrasive blasting is to take place. Only minor activities will occur during the term of this PoO. No bunding or spillage control structures are proposed to be designed or constructed in the term of this PoO.
Preventing contaminant release to land F13
Contaminants must not be released to land .
F14 Spillage of all chemicals and fuels must be contained within an on-site containment system and controlled in a manner that prevents environmental harm. Note: All petroleum product storage/s must be designed, constructed and maintained in accordance with AS 1940 – Storage and Handling of Flammable and Combustible Liquids . F15 For wet abrasive blasting operations, containment facilities are required to prevent the spent abrasive material from contaminating the ground or being released to waters .
F16
Abrasive blasting operations must be carried out on impervious material such as
drop sheets which allow collection of spent abrasive media .
F17 The holder of the environmental authority must comply with the most recent version of Code of Environmental Compliance for Certain Aspects of Mobile and Temporary Abrasive Blasting (ERA 17) .
Process area F18
Where practicable the environmental authority holder must implement bund walls around plant facilities to prevent contamination and minimise potential environmental harm .
